AleSac was built to solve a stubborn and costly challenge in healthcare: chronic wounds that fail to heal because existing dressings often pool toxic exudate, which in turn promotes heavy biofilm growth. This leads to infections, delayed recovery, and high costs.
The turning point came during clinical discussions where the team saw patients suffer repeated trauma from dressing changes, and in particular, the serious infection risks in crisis zones and battlefield injuries, where evacuation is delayed.
Today, Stina and Anne are moving AleSac forward, and we are excited to support their journey through the MedTech Growth Program at DTU Science Park.
MedTech Growth is run by DTU Science Park and supported by Industriens Fond.
We invented a life-saving foam that can prevent infections in wounded soldiers.
